Can you believe the 2023 Spring season is almost over?! And what a season it has been! We had over 366 registered players and 31 teams, including EIGHT Farm teams! We thank you for being flexible this season...unfortunately MLK park only has so many fields we can use, and with so many ballers out there this year, we had to find other fields to use in the community, and are so thankful we were able to secure some so all of our teams could play! The rain also created quite a few rain outs at the beginning of the season, and we did our best to reschedule as many games as we could with limited fields.

As we wrap up the season, here are some updates and reminders for our families:

CLOSING CEREMONIES will be hosted on the Majors field (closest to the snack bar) on June 16 at 6:00 pm. Closing Ceremonies this year will be both upper and lower divisions. Players should be on the field by 5:45 with their team, wearing their jersey and hat. Rings and trophies will be distributed, division and tournament winners announced, raffles, etc. Please come early for the best parking. Be sure to stop by the snack bar! We will have hot deal and pizza meals for just $5!

And All-Star families, stay afterwards for a car decorating party in preparation for games on Saturday!

LOST AND FOUND – Please check the bin by the snack bar for lost and found items that have been found during the season.

FAN GEAR - Both ONLL and All Star fan gear will be for sale during Closing Ceremonies.

2024 MERCHANDISE & FUNDRAISING SURVEY - We'd love to get your feedback on what swag and fundraising opportunities you'd most like to see next year. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey so we can best serve you next season!  

FUTURE PADRES TICKETS & JERSEYS - We have tickets still available for the Future Padres game on July 25 as well as a limited quantity of Future Padres jerseys left. Both will be available to purchase at Closing Ceremonies.

RAFFLE FUNDRAISER – You can still turn in your raffle tickets before closing ceremonies starts to enter the raffle for the Padres Luxury Suite. Winners will be drawn during Closing Ceremonies (need not be present to win). Five raffle tickets will be drawn to share the suite for the July 9 Padres vs. Mets game at Petco Park!

ALL-STARS – ONLL has 4 teams representing us this year in All-Stars. The first bracket of games starts on Saturday, June 17. All games will be hosted at Oceanside American Little League. Come out and cheer on your ONLL players!

FALL BALL - For those looking to continue to play in the fall, ONLL is not able to host a fall league because of football using our fields. However, there are no boundary restrictions for fall ball, so players can register with whichever league they like. Neighboring leagues hosting fall ball include Oceanside American,  Oceanside Valley, and Vista Little League.

SPRING 2023 REGISTRATION – Online registration for next year’s season will open in November or December. Keep in mind as your players start school in the fall that the easiest way to register your players is with a School Enrollment form. As long as the school is in the ONLL boundaries, a school official just needs to sign the form...no address documentation necessary!

In closing out the 2023 Season, we look forward to the 2024 Season. Our Board will take a break for a few months, and then be ready to start planning again in October. But we need your help! Oceanside National Little League is completely run by volunteers who have a love for baseball and seeing our kids play! It takes a tremendous amount of work to host an entire season, but the more hands we have, the lighter the load is. We have many opportunities from Treasurer to Registrar to Groundskeeper to Snack Bar to Umpire in Chief to President. Some positions only require a few hours per month (especially when there’s plenty of volunteers). While we have many returning volunteers next year, we need more to help grow ONLL and make it the best we can be! Below is a link to the ballot for the 2024 Season…please cast your votes (you can vote for as many people as you like) for next year’s Board, and if you would like to see where you can help, please write your name in at the bottom. All new volunteers will be contacted in the Fall as we begin planning for next year.
